PATSY CUMMINGS EVANS
(October 3, 1927 - February 24, 2007)
Patsy A. Evans, Crawfordsville, passed away at 6:06 Saturday morning at Saint Clare Medical Center. She was 79.
Ms. Evans was born October 3, 1927 to Norman and Louise Patterson Cummings in Crawfordsville. She graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1946. Patsy later married Paul Evans, who preceded her in death. For much of her life she worked as a waitress.
She is survived by her longtime companion, Thomas Becker; son, Paul R. Evans Jr., Crawfordsville; daughter, Cheryl (Charles) Beard, Ann Arbor, Michigan; sister, Susan Wray, Darlington; brother, John (Karol) Cummings, Lafayette; foster son, Stanley Brooks, Richmond, Virginia and several grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her brothers, Norman and Ted Cummings and sister, Barbara Moore.
Funeral services are 11:00 am Tuesday at Burkhart Funeral Home, Crawfordsville, with Reverend Fred Evans officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery North. Friends may call one hour prior to the funeral.
